Lifelong Learning

Temple Judea’s Religious School has over 200 children from Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-Gan) through Grade 10. Our students come from 15 surrounding towns to create a cohesive Jewish community. We welcome all families.

Our curriculum:

Emphasis on Hebrew and Prayer
“Spiral Curriculum” with all topics covered at each grade level

Bible, Jewish Holidays, Customs & Traditions




 Sunday Mornings 9-11:30 AM Grades Pre-K (Pre-Gan) –Grade 6

  • Pre-Gan (Pre-K, ages 3-4) held Monthly (please contact us for schedule) and we welcome non-members to join us for this class!
  • Special Person & Me program for young children ages 0-4 and their caregiver; once a month for 45 minutes from 10:45 - 11:30 am. No registration required, non-members welcome and Free.
  • Grades K-5 meets weekly on Sundays 9-11:30 AM
  • Grade 6 meets Sundays 9-11:30 AM and Wednesday evenings bi-weekly 5:30-7:30 PM
  • Hebrew Bootcamp – Optional Wednesday Evenings, Grades 3-6, 5:30-7:30 PM bi-weekly. The focus of this class is the basics of Hebrew language. This class is for students who are new to Hebrew or need extra basic practice. It will focus on letters, vowels, and simple decoding.


Wednesday Evenings 5:30-7:30 PM  Grades 7-10 Bi-weekly

  • Grade 7 is using the   B’nai Mitzvah curriculum that contains family education programming and a series of experiential programs. Our curriculum also includes Holocaust studies. Students also share a pizza dinner at our weekly sessions.
  • Grades 8-10 curriculum emphasizes Social Action and Jewish History. Students begin class by preparing dinner together and go on several trips throughout the year. Our 9-10th grade students also have the opportunity to travel to L’Taken (RAC) in Washington, DC in January.

Special Needs

Temple Judea is an inclusive community. We have a dedicated Special needs coordinator and we will work with every family to ensure that each child is able to obtain a B’nai Mitzvah. Please call us for more information. Our Director has extensive experience working with Special needs populations and if need be, help you find a tutor for your child to make this a reality for your family.

Religious School Committee

Our active Religious School Committee are involved in many aspects of the school’s program. They are always seeking to expand participation and improve programming. For information, contact the synagogue office.
