Temple Judea has had a long relationship with Caring for Friends, an organization that provides meals and visits to individuals who are homebound in Philadelphia and the 5-County area. Many of our members have donated meals over the past years. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has created a greater need and the supply has slowed down. Your help is needed!

We are requesting that TJ members prepare meals for a “contactless” drop-off on Sunday, October 18 between 10:00 am and noon. You need only pull up and open your trunk and a (masked) volunteer will take the meals to store in our Caring for Friends freezer.

The food must be delivered in special tins provided by Caring for Friends. These tins can be picked up on the bench in front of the TJ main entrance at these times: Beginning at 9:00 am Monday, October 12th  through Thursday, October 15th, all day, including evening hours. You will not need to enter the building.
Instructions for meal preparation and labeling will be provided along with the tins.
