On the 15th day (Tu in Hebrew) of the Jewish month of Shvat we celebrate trees. It's a time of year when many trees begin to wake up for Spring as the sap begins to rise in their trunks.

Please join us virtually as Rabbi Sigal leads us in welcoming Shabbat and celebrating Tu b'Shvat. We gather in song and music to celebrate trees, enjoy fruits and learn about Judaism's relationship to nature and trees.

Learn about why we eat the three categories of fruits on Tu b'Shvat                                  - Fruit with shells and nuts (e.g., oranges, clementines, all nuts)                              - Fruit with pits (e.g., dried apricots, cherries, prunes)                                              - Fruit with seeds (e.g., raisins or apples)                                                        You may want to prepare and enjoy a plate of fruits and nuts at home as we celebrate Shabbat and Tu b'Shvat.

At the end, participants will be invited to write names for healing prayers and those you are remembering as we say Mourner’s Kaddish.

The service will last about one hour.                                                                        ONLY if you are new to Temple Judea please register below.

Contributions are welcome. Thank you for your support.

Sorry, Registration has ended.
