Yizkor Memorial Donation - Yom Kippur 2024/5785
The Yizkor prayers are said on Yom Kippur, and on the last day of each of the Festivals of Passover, Shavuot, and Sukkot. In these prayers we ask G‑d to remember the souls of family and friends who have passed. Attending a Yizkor service and/or giving Tzedakah (charity) in advance of Yizkor provides us with a special opportunity to connect with our loved ones.
Memory is especially powerful when the past becomes an inspiration. When we remember them in our physical life, their life is not just a passive memory. Rather, they become an active and eternal source of inspiration to us. For this reason, the Yizkor service provides us an opportunity for Tzedakah, charity, a mitzvah done on behalf of the deceased's soul. For the first name you would like to honor, we ask for a donation of $36 with each additional name at $18.
Due to the complexity of preparing for our Yizkor service, any names submitted on or after September 30th will not be included in the service. You may still choose to donate to honor your loved one.
