Religious School COVID-19 Precautions & Protocols

We are excited for Temple Judea’s Religious School to meet in-person this fall!

In order to do so while also keeping our members as safe and healthy as possible, we closely monitor Center for Disease Control Guidelines for COVID-19 Prevention in K-12 Educational Programs.

Our current safety measures include:

  1. Encouraging all staff and eligible community members to be vaccinated.
  2. Anyone feeling ill in any way is strongly encouraged to stay home.
  3. Everyone attending indoor programs at Temple Judea is required to wear a mask. Gaiter masks are not permitted. We encourage everyone to wear masks consistent with CDC recommendations.
  4. Activities will be held outside whenever possible. Masks will not be required outside but students will still be asked to maintain a distance of 3 feet from everyone else.
  5. Food will not be served during Religious School unless it can be enjoyed outside. When snack are available, they will consist of individually wrapped items.
  6. We will configure our learning spaces to allow 3 feet distance between all individuals from separate households where possible.
  7. Frequent hand washing will be enforced and hand sanitizer will be available.
  8. If someone in your household tests positive for COVID-19, PLEASE notify Rabbi Erin immediately. A note will be sent to members of your child’s class, keeping their name private.

As the CDC Guidelines change and the positivity levels in our area fluctuate, our protocols may be adjusted.
