Temple Judea Nursery School and Kindergarten

Our staff is committed to providing a loving Jewish environment. Our curriculum is based on a thematic approach, with each theme chosen based on the calendar, in order to learn about and celebrate the Jewish and secular holidays. In addition, the children learn the alphabet, colors, numbers, shapes, as well as about the world around them. They enjoy playing, learning and socializing together.

Our Programs

  • 18 months to 2 years old - An introduction to Temple Judea Nursery School.  This group meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

  • 2 year olds - Geared for children who are 2 years old by September 15th, this class meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with an option of 2 or 3 days. This class is from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, with an option of staying for lunch with a 1:00 dismissal time.
  •      Both of these Toddler Programs emphasize early learning and socialization.   They provide a loose structure along with guided activities to nurture and stimulate your child.

  • 3 year olds - For children who are 3 years old by September 15th. Classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the option of attending 3 or 4 days.
  •      These groups focus on emerging social skills.   Learning through play is emphasized, as the children are encouraged to experiment, explore, and develop positive feelings about themselves and their knowledge and abilities.

  • 4 year olds - This is our Pre-Kindergarten program for children who are 4 years old by September 15th, and will be attending Kingergarten the following September.   These children attend Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  •      A wide variety of activities and experiences are offered to prepare the children for kindergarten, as we continue to work on developing social skills and emerging independence.

  • Kindergarten - Our full day kindergarten program, held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily (until 1:00pm on Fridays), encompasses a carefully planned educational program, in a small group setting, allowing your child's needs to be met socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically. Activities include reading and language arts, mathematics, science and social studies, arts and crafts, music and movement, indoor and outdoor play, and an expanded Judaic curriculum. Our degreed and certified staff will assure that your child is ready for first grade.

  • Kindergarten Enrichment - Children who are enrolled in morning kindergarten at public school join us on 2, 3, or 4 afternoons (Monday through Thursday) from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. Activities include journal writing, science and social studies, arts and crafts, and strong Judaic programming.

  • Enrichment Afternoons - Our Enrichment Afternoons run Monday through Thursday, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The following choices are available:
    Monday - Gym Plus!
Tuesday - Super Science and Magical Math
    Wednesday - Creative Dramatics
    Thursday - Kids Cooking

  • Summer Star Camp Program - During the summer months our school takes on a camp like atmosphere. For 8 weeks, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the children participate in an exciting program of arts and crafts, music and movement, water play, gym and FUN! Each week is based on a theme with special entertainment brought in to enhance the program (i.e. clown, puppet show, pony rides, etc.)
